The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra Goes to Market

Join in on a “Taste of Music,” a program of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra that includes a small ensemble performance and an Instrument Petting Zoo. Visit us at the Westside Farmers’ Market on July 9th from 3-7pm. The market is located at 2501 Jackson Road (Zingerman’s Roadhouse parking lot). Taste of Music is a three-year program funded by the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan which moves great classical music out of the concert hall and into the community at area farmers’ markets.

The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra’s ensemble will perform at the Westside Farmers’ Market at 5:30-7:00. The A2SO Instrument Petting Zoo will be held for the duration of the market. Children of all ages will have the opportunity to try out real violins, cellos, trumpets and clarinets. Child-sized instruments, along with trained “zookeepers” ensure that even the smallest child will have a successful first instrumental experience.
