It took three days for my papers to separate and dry off. Three of the six metal sign polls broke due to the wind. The Roadhouse crew was WONDERFUL (hot coffee and smiles all around). Received box of edible wow magazines, will display them next week. Used chairs to block off the parking at 10 am and it worked much better than the bricks. Creamery showed up and left after the first squall (product signage/tent ruined). McLaughlin needs space for both the tent and the truck (18 feet). Everyone learned the importance of weights on the tents to keep them from flying around. There was much damaged product due to rain (Bizzy Lizzy Bakery and the Creamery) – several tents were broken as well. It was a LOT of rain and wind and lightening and black skies and thunder.
Items sold – lettuce, zucchini, rhubarb, strawberries, onions, eggs, herbs, cookies, bread, cauliflower, potted flowers, scapes
Weather – rain gauge read 1 inch between 3:30-5:45 – total mayhem.
Customer Count – 85 before the rain hit at 3:30 and then about 15 after that. It cleared by 6:15, but by then – most vendors (and I) were done for the day.
